Anita Giddings' painting show opened at Dewclaw last Friday night, with a really nice flow of guests. "Night Driving" is a group of paintings that were triggered by a drift-driving experience she had had a few years ago. It's a really nice show that works very well in the space. More here and here.

What is drift-driving?
And, great-looking show.
Something I made up.
Now you're getting a big head.
My wording in this post is so strange. I do have a big head, physically as well. It's a Knopp thing.
Aw, so it's not really your fault. You can't help it!
Well, Shakespeare probably didn't announce before he wordsmithed, so why should you?
Hey, if you've got a big head, why not compare yourself to Shakespeare. Or at least let me.
You're definitely in the upper echelon of modern day wordsmithers.
(I don't think your wording in the post is strange, btw. Am I missing something? I usually am...)
Sorry, last one for tonight: I first thought drift-driving must be some kind of...ok, this is not making sense as I go to write it, but I won't let that stop me -- I thought it had something to do with falling asleep, or starting to fall asleep at the wheel. "Drifting off." Then I though, no...that's not it. Maybe it's some kind of destionationless driving. But that doesn't seem quite right.
So, you may now tell me.
I didn't really think it through. Lazy wordsmithing.
Yeah, slipper slope there...
Just because it sounds good...ahem.
Wait, maybe it IS good just because it sounds good. Perhaps its meaning will emerge with a little more usage.
I don't know what the hell I'm saying. But I could be right.
Slipper slope. That was on purpose.
Yes, I am aware that there are entirely too many of my heads here.
