With help from a rigged gravel sled, and my truck, I moved and spread 2 tons of gravel by noon today. Because of tree limbs, they had to dump most of it in one spot. I saved $30 by changing my order from 3 to 2 tons. I now have exactly 2/3 of what I need to keep my drive from being a mud pit. Doh!

Hm. And I bet one ton alone is not just $30.
It looks two thirds great. And like a lot of work.
I feel about 66% more civilized, which may be all I can handle anyway.
Um, is it to pushy to ask how the other 33% is coming along? I've resisted for DAYS and DAYS now.
I just can't help wishing for it every time I see that almost finished driveway photo.
This driveway has been under snow since the day after this photo, and will be, I'm assuming, until hell freezes over. I'm beginning to think hell is not very far from freezing over, which could be a major issue for ____________ialists. What word do I want here? for people who make phrases like, "til hell freezes over". I'm giving up on remembering things and am just going to now ask others for the term I mean.
This photo is very early in the rock distribution. I did manage to achieve the appearance of a fully covered driveway. Who knows what will happen once the snow thaws and the spring rains hit. My life is so full of worries over trivial, yet very tedious, environmental circumstances. It's a wonder I can get out of bed each day.
Ahh, the appearance of covering may be good enough. "Minimizes the appearance of fine lines." "Minimizes the appearance of a muddy driveway." I'm a graduate of the school of Good Enough.
Congrats on the getting out of bed each day. Not joking.
Oh, "wordsmith" is the word I use for wordmakers and phrasemakers. But I don't know if it's good enough.
