I resisted posting this new work until it was hung. These works were all completed in June or July of 2011. All were started in acrylic. Some maintained most or all of the original acrylic imagery. Some were continued in oil to the point where the acrylic start is no longer present. All are on 1/2" shaped birch plywood. They are currently on view through August 26 in Asynchronous Salon.

Party Favor really should put some clothes on. Or at least some bones and flesh.
Oh, literally, not figuratively, as in "this painting has no bones." No, no, no -- just looking at the vulnerability of those little sacs.
Logo 3 is touching and unlogolike.
"Why, I'd recognize that logo anywhere"!
I agree on Logo 3. It has no presence in person, until you get very close, and then it's so touching and sweet.
I started thinking of them almost as anti-logo logos, or the type of logo someone from a different time period would make, were they transported to our time and trying to adapt. I suppose it could also be someone from another culture trying to make it in our advertising world.
They were the last ones painted, almost as an aside, paint-agenda-wise, but I really like them and want to do more.
Party Favor does need clothes. Didn't make it in the show, it was just too different from all the other paintings.
