10" x 10" Wow, I've not posted yet in March. This pet portrait was a Christmas gift for friends. I was lucky to get a likeness with relatively little struggle.
I'm currently re-working a large shaped panel, but am actually being a bit descriminating about showing it unfinished (for a change).
Now I have posted in March.

Something I really like about this. It has a kind of early American folk art feel plus . .. something else, humor, I guess. I love the symmetry and the frontalness and that tail wrapping around the middle cat and the other tail up in the air. The color is really great too, and the funny toys in front. The cats are like part sphinx, part guard cat. Yes, really like this.
Yep, good description. It still cracks me up, for the reasons you mention.
