"Mounts" at 4 Star Gallery

Mount G, 10" x 10", oil on wood, 2008
Excellent timing. Next week I will be showing my "Mounts" series, for the first time in person, in entirety, at 4 Star Gallery. A group of these paintings are included in the current issue of "New American Paintings" #83, which just hit the newsstands this week.
The 4 Star Gallery show runs Oct. 16 - Nov. 14, with an opening reception Oct. 16 from 5-9pm, and a "First Friday" reception on Nov. 6. If you're in town I hope you can make it.

Love when the timing happens like that. Congrats and good luck. I'll grab a copy at my local Barnes & Noble.

Yay! Exciting!

Can I ask you, the ones in "New American Paintings" must be unrevised, yes? I hope that's not a terrible faux pas question . . .

Good question. I'm 99% certain I didn't change anything that was sent in.

Ha! That is funny. 1% is a lot, you know . . .

Well, if you're wrong, you're in good company, at least -- the good company of great painters altering their paintings even after sold or hanging in important places.

This started feeling like something that will rise up in the middle of the night and seem monstrously wrong and worrisome, so I checked. I've not altered anything that may be in the publication.

Ah. Well, that's probably good.
