there's no easy make of the spatial relationships of different parts of the picture. it seems like there's a simple hiearchy in there somewhere, but it's inconstant and i have to keep searching. seems like that's where this body of paintings has been going. i like it.
It's reassurring to hear your read on these. I am thinking of these as multi-spatial and multi color-schemed and even multi-themed.
I'm throwing together alternative versions of various logical fields. Ultimately I keep having to deal with the specifics of my own desire for order...where none can readily exist.
